A RESOLUTION: CORPORATE POSITION OF TOWN COUNCIL ON THE PROPOSED TOLL
INCREASES FOR THE DULLES GREENWAY
WHEREAS, On January 23, 2020, Toll Road Investors Partnership filed with the Virginia State
Corporation Commission (SCC) an application for an increase in the maximum level of tolls on the Dulles
Greenway; and
WHEREAS, an evidentiary public hearing by the SCC is scheduled to take place in Richmond, Virginia
on August 13, 2020; and
WHEREAS, Council desires to submit an official corporate position to the SCC prior to the August 13,
2020 public hearing.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby affirms its corporate
position to the Virginia State Corporation Commission on the proposed application by the Toll Road Investors
Partnership for an increase in the maximum level of tolls on the Dulles Greenway as follows:
SECTION I. The Leesburg Town Council strongly opposes· the application by the Toll Road Investors
Partnership for a rate increase in the maximum level of tolls on the Dulles Greenway.
SECTION II. The Leeburg Town Council does not support any rate increase on tolls at this time for the
Dulles Greenway.
SECTION III. The Mayor of Leesburg is authorized by the Town Council to issue an official letter to the
Virginia State Corporation Commission to accompany this Town Resolution.
