AN ORDINANCE: APPROVING TOWN PLAN AMENDMENT #TP-99-02,
REMOVING DAVIS AVENUE CORRIDOR FROM
TRANSPORTATION ELEMENT, POLICY MAP 8.1 OF THE
TOWN PLAN
WHEREAS, on September 28, 1999 the Town Council initiated an amendment to
the Transportation Element to remove Davis Avenue corridor from Policy Map 8.1; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the removal of the Davis Avenue
corridor from Transportation Policy Map 8.1 will not adversely impact the level of
service of the town's transportation system; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered the amendment at a public
hearing on November 4, 1999 and forwarded a recommendation of approval to Council
on November 16, 2000; and
WHEREAS, on January 23, 2001 a public hearing was held to consider Town
Plan amendment TP-99-02 Transportation Element, Policy Map 8.1; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends approval of the amendment; and
THEREFORE, ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia
as follows:
SECTION I. Town Plan amendment #TP-99-02 Transportation Element, Policy
Map 8.1 removing Davis Avenue corridor is hereby approved.

AN ORDINANCE: APPROVING TOWN PLAN AMENDMENT TP-99-02
SECTION II. Town Plan amendment approval does not express or imply any
waivers or modifications to any requirements of the Design and Construction Standards
Manual, Subdivision and Land Development Regulations or Zoning Ordinance unless
specifically cited herein.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage.
