ADOPTED June 25, 2002
AN ORDINANCE:
APPROVING REZONING ZM-2001-04 HAWKINS PROPERTY, TO
AMEND THE TOWN ZONING MAP FROM I-1 TO R-16 FOR THE
HAWKINS PROPERTY
WHEREAS, on April 10, 2001, the representative of R.C. Hawkins applied to the Town
to rezone a 4.98 acre parcel of land from I-1 to R-16; and
WHEREAS, on June 6, 2002, the Planning Commission held a public hearing after which
the Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of Rezoning ZM 2001-04
- Hawkins Property; and
WHEREAS, on June 25, 2002, the Town Council held a public hearing to consider the
application; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends approval of ZM 2001-04, Hawkins Property; and
WHEREAS, the public necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practice
require the proposed zoning amendment.
THEREFORE, ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
The Hawkins Property, described as LCTM 48, Parcel 79C is hereby rezoned
from I-1 to R-16, subject to the proffers dated June 21, 2002.
