GREENCASTLE COMMON COUNCIL
Special Session
October 4, 1991
The Greencastle Common Council met in special session on Friday, October 4,
1991 at 10:00 a.m. at [he junction of the Veterans Memorial Highway and Manhattan
Road. On call of the roll the following members were shown to be present: Councilor
Sheri Roach, Councilor Sue Murray, Councilor Bob Sedlack, Councilor Mike Rokicki.
Councilor Tim Conway was absent. Also present Ron Smith, Larry Wilson, Bill
Lawrence, Bob Elmore. Jack Hanlon, Jim Wright and Stan Lambert. Guests present
included State Representative Susan Crosby, Indiana Department of Transportation
Commissioner John Dillon, several community leaders and Berry Street residents.
Public Petitions and Comments:
Putnam County Library Director Ellen Sedlack offered congratulations to the
city and the administration on the first section opening of the Veterans Memorial
Highway.
Recommendations and Requests from Officers and Departments:
Ordinance 1991 -20, An Ordinance Amending Chapter455 of the Greencastle City
Code to Prohibit Heavy Vehicles on Designated Streets, was presented for second
reading by Councilor Sedlack. Councilor Sedlack then moved to adopt Ordinance 1991-
20 as presented. This motion was seconded by Councilor Murray and was carried by an
aye unanimous vote of members present.
Mayor Harmless declared Ordinance 1991 -20 to have been passed and adopted
this date.
With no further business Councilor Sedlack moved for adjournment. Thismotion
was seconded by Councilor Murray, was carried by an aye unanimous vote of members
present, and the meeting was adjourned at 10:12 a.m.
