ORDINANCE NO. 2003-O-15 ADOPTED September 9, 2003
AN ORDINANCE: AMENDING SECTION 6-2 OF THE TOWN CODE RELATING TO
VOTING PLACES
WHEREAS, the Town desires to change the voting place in the municipality for Precinct No. 502
Northeast Leesburg;
WHEREAS, the proposed polling place is within one mile of the precinct boundary as permitted
by Section 24.2-310 of the Code of Virginia; and
WHEREAS, a public notice was placed in the Leesburg Today on August 22na and 29*, 2003
announcing a public hearing on this proposed change;
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on September 9, 2003.
THEREFORE, ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I.
Section 6-2 of the Town Code is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 6-2 Votinu Places.
The election of municipal officials and the voting place for such election in Precinct Number 501,
Northwest Leesburg, shall be at the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Department Building, 215 Loudoun Street,
SW; the election of municipal officials and the voting place for such election in Precinct Number 502,

Francis Hazel Reid Elementary School at 800 North King Street NE; the election of municipal officials
and the voting place for such election in Precinct Number 505, Southeast Leesburg shall be at the Cool
Spring Elementary School, 501 Tavistock Drive SE; and the election of municipal officials and the voting
place for such election in Precinct Number 405 Southwest Leesburg be at the Leesburg Baptist Church,
835 Lee Avenue, SW.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall be effective immediately.
