AN ORDINANCE: AMENDING AND REORDAINING SUBSECTION 5.6.1
(DESCRIPTION) OF SECTION 5.6 (R-HD, HISTORIC RESIDENTIAL
DISTRICT) OF ARTICLE 5 (RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICTS) OF
THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LEESBURG,
VIRGINIA, 2003, AS AMENDED.
The Town Council of Leesburg, Virginia, ordains:
SECTION I. That Subsection 5.6.1 (DESCRIPTION) of Section 5.6 (R-HD, HISTORIC
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT) of Article 5 (RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICTS) of the Zoning
Ordinance of the Town of Leesburg, Virginia, 2003, as amended be and the same is hereby
amended and reordained to read as follows:
5.6.1 Description
The R-HD, Historic Residential District is primarily intended to accommodate residential
development that is compatible with and preserves the character of the Old and Historic
(H-l Overlay) District. The district is generally appropriate for application in areas
designated as historic residential areas in the Tovm Plan f{)r "Infill" "Downtown" land
use category development in the Town Plan.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall become effective upon the date and at the time of its
final passage.
SECTI ON III. If any provision of this Ordinance is declared invalid, the decision shall
not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any remaining provisions of the Ordinance.
