RESOLUTION OF THE CITY. COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OR TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, OETER-
MINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST „ CONVEN-
IENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE, -THE FORMATION
OF A VEHICLE PARKING DISTRICT_ AND REQUIRE
THE ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT •SUBSTAN-
TIALLY AS SET FORTH IN THE REPORT ON FILE
AND DETERMINING THE PROJECT FEASIBLE
(VEHICLE PARKING DISTRICT NO. 2)
WHEREAS, on January 27, 1964, a petition under the•.Vehicle
Parking District Law of 1943 (Part 1 of Division 18 of the Streets
and Highways Code) for the creation of a Vehicle Parking District,
was filed in the office of the City Clerk, and said petition was
duly signed by the requisite number of qualified signers; and
WHEREAS, this City Council designated said proposed dis-
trict as "Vehicle Parking District No. 2" and ordered a report under
the Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Pro-
test Act of 1931, on the acquisition and improvement proposed in said
petition; and
WHEREAS, said report was duly filed and this City Council
approved said report and fixed a time and place of hearing thereon;
and
WHEREAS, notice of said hearing was mailed as required by
said Investigation Act; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was held at the time and place so
fixed, and all continuances thereof, if any, were duly made and order-
ed, and said hearing was duly held and concluded as provided by law;
and
WHEREAS, all written and oral protests, if any, have been
duly heard and all persons desiring to be heard on the said report
or upon the proposed project have been heard;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City,
California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
SECTION 1. That said report contains all the matters and
things required by law and that notice of hearing on the proposed pro-
ject generally described therein has been duly and regularly given.
SECTION 2. That no written protest has been made by the
owners of more than one -half of the area of the property to be assess-
ed for the proposed acquisition and improvement, and that there is no
majority protest against only a portion of the proposed acquisition
or improvement.
SECTION 3. That each and all protests and objections, if
any, filed in writing or made orally in the said matter, be and the
same are hereby overruled and denied.
SECTION 4. That the public interest, convenience and nec-
essity require the acquisition and improvement substantially as set
forth in the report and that the project is feasible and thrs City
Council determines to proceed under said Vehicle Parking taw of 1943
to form Vehicle Parking District No. 2 of said City, and to make the
acquisition and improvement substantially as set forth in said report
on file and described in said petition on file.
