AN ORDINANCE: AMENDING AND REORDAINING THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LEESBURG, VIRGINIA,
2003, AS AMENDED BY DELETING SECTION 6.9 (M-l,
BASIC INDUSTRY DISTRICT) OF ARTICLE 6
(NONRESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS).
The Town Council of Leesburg, Virginia, ordains:
SECTION I. That the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Leesburg, Virginia,
2003, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended and reordained by deleting
Section 6.9 (M-l, BASIC INDUSTRY DISTRICT) of Article 6 (NONRESIDENTIAL
DISTRICTS), to read as follows:
".9.1 Deseril'tioB
The M 1, Basie Industry Distriet is established to implement the "Industrial" land
use polieies of the TO'.'/R Plan. It is intended primarily to aecommodate industrial
processing, extracti'/e and other il'ldustrial type land uses that are typically
ineompatible v;ith residell'ltial or commercial development. The district is
appropriate for applieation ill areas designated ill the To\\'fl Plan f{)r "lndl:1strial"
de'lelopment.
".9.2 Use RegulatioBs
Uses are allowed ill the M 1 District ill accordance with the follo',Ving table. .\
"P" in the second eolUffif.l of the table indieates that the use is permitted by right,

SECTION II. This Ordinance shall become effective upon the date and at the
time of its final passage.
SECTION III. If any provision of this Ordinance is declared invalid, the decision
shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any remaining provisions of the
Ordinance.
