AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
WAYNE COUNTY FOUNDATION
WHEREAS, The Wayne County Foundation has grant funding available in its Wayne
County Preservation Grant program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Office of the Clerk desires to submit a grant
application to obtain funds that will be used for the cost of archiving the
City Charter and Ordinance Book "A", Common Council Minute Book
Volume 1 and the Board of Public Works and Safety Minute Book Volume
1; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Office of the Clerk is hereby authorized to submit a
grant application for a Wayne County Foundation Preservation Grant.
2. The City of Richmond Office of the Clerk is authorized to accept said grant
funding in an amount up to Six Thousand Four Hundred and Twenty Five
Dollars and Zero Cents ($6,425.00).
3. Said funds if awarded shall be appropriated to fund the archival of historic
documents, i.e., the City Charter and Ordinance Book "A", Common Council
Minute Book Volume 1 and the Board of Public Works and Safety Minute
Book Volume 1.
4. No City of Richmond funds shall be required for said grant.
Passed and adopted this 15th day of September, 2008, by the Common Council of the
City of Richmond, Indiana.
