Call to Order:
Meeting called to order at 5:45 pm by Chairperson Lucia Kincheloe.
Approval of Agenda:
Don moved and Lara seconded that the Agenda be approved as printed. The motion carried on
a voice vote.
Approval of Minutes:
Zak moved and Lara seconded approval of the January 27, 2015, minutes. The motion carried
on a voice vote.
New Business
New Commissioner Lisa Chastain introduced herself and was welcomed by the Commission.
Capital Arts inquired about applying for a mini-grant to help fund a computer. Jamie will check
to make sure funding of that item would be allowable.
Old Business
Lucia gave the Foundation Report. Attendance was good at the March 3 Charrette. Cites were
reviewed and the list was narrowed. Budget and fund-raising will continue.
The projects associated with the Missouri Arts Council Grant proposal were divided into
committees and disbursed via hand-outs to the commissioners. Committees will review the
lists, and consider projects. Committees will keep in mind that if approved, the grant will most-
likely be budgeted at about two thirds of the request. Our commitment of $6,000 from CAC,
$1,000 from the banks and $2,550 from the Foundation; allowed a request that would double
that amount to $19,100.
Next meeting, we will hear more about the Up Cycle event (Earth Day 2016) and granting
possibilities associated with it.
The Foundation’s Ice Cream Splash date will be July 12. Planning continues to go well. There
is an Ice Cream Splash Face Book page that can be liked.
