Planning and Zoning Commission
Chairperson Steve Berner called meeting to order at 6:30pm on Wednesday; May 4, 2011 at the Springmier
Library.
Roll call of Commission members present: Steve Berner, Shawna Colvin, Kate Fitzgerald, and Stephanie-
, Surine. Absent: Melvin Reeve.
Motion'made by Stephanie Surine and seconded by Kate Fitzgerald for approval of Agenda as printed.
Motion made by Kate Fitzgerald and seconded by Stephanie Surine for approval of minutes of April 6, 2011
meeting.
New Business:
Tom Saheetz, The Depot Tiffin, presented his details and answered inquiries on the Variance Request
Application for the construction of a new canopy within the 62' front setback off Hwy 6. Discussion held and
Commission member Shawna Colvin made a motion to recommend the Variance Request to the Board of
Adjustments review and decision and motion seconded by'Stephanie Surine.
Old Business:
Stephanie Surine presented suggested revisions an the Design Standards Section 9.13 Storm Water
Management Facilities. Discussion held on suggested revisions and further review will be placed on June 1,,
2011 meeting. a
Steve Berner presented a draft version of a Post-Construction Storm Water Runoff Control with suggested
revisions to be included in the update of the Subdivision Ordinance. Discussion held on revisions and
Commission redommended further review at June 1, 2011 meeting. Inquiry made on the inclusion of the sub-,
division Storm Water Maintenance Agreements between sub-divisions and the city as an addendum to the
Ordinance. Advise ifom City Attorney will be obtained on use of Agreements for future developments.
Motion made by Shawna Colvin and motion seconded by Kate Fitzgerald for adjournment at 7:20 pm.
