RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET, NEW JERSEY
APPROVING THE 2004-2005 CDBG PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has been allocated $113,000.00 from the
Middlesex County Housing and Development Program for the 2004-2005 CDBG year;
and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on Tuesday, February 17, 2004 to solicit
comments and recommendations from the residents o£ the Borough o£ Cartcret; and
WHEREAS~ the Community Development Board has had the opportunity to discuss the
proposals with the Mayor and Council and representatives to the Middlesex County
Housing and community Development Program; and
WHEREAS, it is the consensus o£ the Community Development Board that the
£ollowing programs meet the guidelines of the Citizen's Participation List o£ Eligible
Activities:
Volunteer Fire Department $ 1,000.00
Housing Authority Security $12,500.00
Volunteer First Aid Squad $ 1,500.00
Housing Rehabilitation $ 25,000.00
Handicap Senior Sidewalks/Curb Cuts $ 19,500.00
Kiddie Keep Well $ 2,000.00
AIM Afterschool/Outreach Program $ 1,500.00
Borough Hall Handicap Upgrade $ 50,000.00
$113,000.00
WHEREAS, the above programs were unanimously approved by the Community
Development Board at the Public Hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Cartcrct hereby consent to the submission of the above named proposals.
