TOWN BOARD JANUARY 19, 2000 The regular meeting of the Town Board was called to order at 8:30 p.m. Board approved the delay of the start of the meeting until 8:30 as the Board of Adjustment was convened. Board present were Mayor Johnston, Klancke, Soles, Rantz and Wirsing. Staff present were Reid and Winter. Wirsing made a motion to approve the minutes of the Jan. 5, 2000 minutes with the correction of adding to the minutes that the recommendation for a height variance to the proposed hotel by George Swift was" 42 feet", motion 2nd by Soles, carried. OPEN FORUM Rantz made a motion to direct Reid to write a letter to Safeway regarding the Pharmacy. Board discussed this a length. Motion 2nd by Klancke, carried. Mayor Johnston removed himself from the Board for this discussion, declaring a conflict of interest. Bill Morek, owner of the Fraser Drug read a letter ~egarding Safeway that he will be sending to them. . ACTION ITEMS Board reviewed Grand Recycle Intergovernmental Agreement. Wirsing made a motion to approve the IGA, 2nd Rantz, carried. Soles abstained from vote. Bottle Pass Liquor license renewal. All documents in order. Sheriff Dept. reports an employee summons for selling to an underage person. Rantz made a motion to approve the renewal, 2nd Soles, carried. . DISCUSSION ITEMS Board reviewed the annexation agreement that is prepared for the Fox Run project. Discussion was held with regards to Affordable Housing regulations. Several Board members will meet with some of the Winter Pa~k Board members to further discussions. Reid presented various ideas that could be included in a proposed Ordinance. STAFF CHOICE Reid advised that the traffic study at Eisenhower and Highway 40 intersection meets the requirements to warrant a traffic light. This is being pursued by CDOT. . Reid briefly discussed the submittals by Maryvale. . BOARD CHOICE Rantz asked Reid to pursue a first right of refusal for the Church should they offer the site for sale. Wirsing moved to go into an executive session for the purpose of negotiations on land, 2nd Rantz, carried. 9:45 p.m. Klancke moved to come out ,of executive session 10:00 p.m., 2nd Wirsing, carried.
