Girl Scout Troop 79196 would like to donate a tree to the town of Watertown
to be planted in either the Town Square, along the Charles River, Saltonstall Park,
or in whatever place you think is the most appropriate. We are Junior level Girl
Scouts, who are entering the 6th grade. We are working to complete our "Power Of
Community Badge", which is a badge to help make our community a better place.
We would like to dedicate this tree in honor of those in Watertown who have
suffered from COVID-19, and those who are helping and risking their lives to help
other people during this pandemic. Not only will this tree be a memorial, but it will
also have an environmental impact on the local community. We can reach out to
the Tree Warden for more information about what tree would be best for our
community, if it is necessary. Thank you for considering our donation.
