Motion to approve changing Section D-2 of the Ordinance to, “No more than 7 days
before the regular meeting, the mayor, or in the case of a subordinate body the chair, in
consultation with the other members of the body, if possible, may cancel any regular
meeting of the body they serve if there is no essential business that the body needs to
handle. Notice of the cancellation must be provided to the members and the public as soon
as practicable. A regular meeting can only be canceled in an emergency situation out of
concern for staff and members of the body.”
