APPOINTING WILLIAM RICHERT TO THE POSITION OF FIRE
PROTECTION INSPECTOR, ICS, FOR THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET
WHEREAS, the Borough's Construction Code Official, Anthony Neibert, has
determined that there is an emergency need within the Building Department for the
Borough of Carteret for an additional fire inspector to reduce the backlog in fire
inspections which need to be completed; and
WHEREAS, William Richert possesses the requisite license, namely a Fire Protection
Inspector, ICS, license, which will permit him to conduct certain fire protection
inspections, thereby reducing the backlog in needed inspections and assisting the
Building Department to meet mandated deadlines for the completion of fire protection
inspection; and -'
WHEREAS, simultaneously with the appointment of William Richert, the Borough
Council has introduced an ordinance creating the position of Fire Protection Inspector,
ICS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council by the Mayor
and Council of the Borough of Carteret that
WILLIAM RICHERT
is hereby appointed to the position to the position of Temporary Fire Protection Inspector,
ICS.
BE, IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that William Richert be paid for fire protection
inspection services in accordance with his hourly rate of pay for his principal position as
firefighter with the Borough of Carteret.
