AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING PROPERTY LOCATED AT
15134 S. FOX RIVER STREET AS A HISTORIC LANDMARK
IN THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS
PIN: 06-03-16-208-024-0000
WHEREAS, the Village of Plainfield has considered an application requesting
landmark designation for the property located at 15134 S. Fox River Street;
WHEREAS, That pursuant to Chapter 9, Section 9-147(7) of the Plainfield Code,
the following findings of the Village of Plainfield Historic Preservation Commission were
made as to the property described below in Section 2:
c. is identified with persons who significantly contributed to the development
of the community, county, state or nation;
d. embodies distinguishing characteristics of an architectural style valuable for
the study of a period, type, method of construction, or use of indigenous
materials;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL AND KENDALL COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Recitals - The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Plainfield hereby adopt and incorporate as their own, the above findings recited.
Section 2: Approval — The property located at 15134 S. Fox River Street,
legally described as follows, is hereby designated as a historic landmark:
THE SOUTH 40 FEET OF LOTS 1 AND 2 AND THE SOUTH 40 FEET OF
THE EAST 20 FEET OF LOT 3, AND THE EAST 180 FEET OF THE
NORTH HALF OF THE EAST AND WEST VACATED ALLEY, ALL IN
BLOCK 9 OF THE ORIGINAL TOWN OF PLAINFIELD, A SUBDIVISION
OF PART OF THE WEST HALF OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF
SECTION 16, TOWNSHIP 36 NORTH, RANGE 9 EAST OF THE THIRD
PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

Section 3: Effective Date —This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
