The project was originally annexed as part of the Wallin Woods Development in the mid-1990’s. The 37- acre parcel was formally entitled in 2008 with approval of an amendment to the annexation agreement and special use for planned development for approximately 800 residential units and more than 200,000 square feet of commercial development. The applicant is proposing a series of modifications to the approved plans. The revised plan proposes 22 duplex homes, 93 townhomes, and 282 apartment units. Mr. Jim Hughes and Mr. Mike Schoppe reviewed the proposed changes, building elevation, club house elevation, and the land plan. Mr. Hughes pointed out that the townhomes would be rentals. Trustee Larson expressed concern regarding the number of rental units, density, square footage of the studio apartments, and its effect on the school district. Trustee Larson stated that the proposed plan has better aesthetics than the previously approved plan. Trustee Benton expressed concern regarding the rentals, price points, and transportation.
