AMENDING CHAPTER 28 ENTITLED "HUMAN RELATIONS
COMMISSION OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Borough Council of the Borough of
Carteret, a municipal corporation of the State o£New Jersey, located in Middlesex
County, thereof, as follows:
Section 1. §28-1, entitled "Establishing of Human Relations Commission", is
hereby amended to provide that the Commission shall consist of nine (9)
Commissioners. The balance of Chapter 28, entitled HUMAN RELATIONS
COMMISSION, shall remain unchanged.
Section 2. All Ordinances and/or provisions thereof-inconsistent wit the
provisions of this Ordinance shall be and are hereby repealed as to extent of any
such inconsistencies.
Section 3. If any section, subsection, part, clause or phrase of this Ordinance shall
be declared invalid by judgement of any Court of competent jurisdiction, the
section, subsection part, clause or phrase shall be deemed to be sever able from
the remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication
according to applicable law.
