HomeMy Public PortalAboutPerformance Evaluation of the Town Manager for Fiscal Year 2019 Final TOWN OF WATERTOWN PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF THE TOWN MANAGER FOR FISCAL YEAR 2019 PURPOSE: The Town Charter as well as the Employment Agreement between the Town and the Manager, requires that an annual performance evaluation be conducted. The purpose of the evaluation is threefold: 1 . Ensure that the Manager is working towards the Goals and Objectives previously established by the Town Council . 2 . Serve as a means of formal communication between the Manager and the Council with respect to both past and future performances . 3 . Provide a basis upon which salary adjustment decisions can be based. PROCEDURE/TIMETABLE 1 . Completed Fiscal Year 2019 Evaluations are due in the Council Office by Friday, October 18, 2019 at 2 : 00 pm. 2 . The Council President will prepare a Composite Evaluation for presentation to the Council at the November 12th Town Council meeting. 3 . The Council President will refer the existing evaluation tool to the Committee on Personnel and Town Organization for their review and recommendation on the evaluation tool to be used for Fiscal Year 2020 .
