AWARDING CONTRACT WITH B&W CONSTRUCTION FOR
EMERGENCY REPAIR ON THE HAYWARD AVENUE PUMP STATION
WET TAP
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has advised the Governing Body that
emergency repairs need to be performed on the Hayward Avenue Pump Station
Wet Tap; and
WHEREAS, B & W Construction possesses the requisite skill and expertise to
provide said services; and
WHEREAS, B & W Construction has submitted a proposal to provide said
emergency services at a total cost not to exceed $25,000.00; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, that an
emergency contract with B&W Construction to repair the above described Pump
Station Wet Tap at a cost not to exceed $25,000.00 is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to
the Borough Engineer and the Borough's Purchasing Department to effectuate the
purposes expressed herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this rcsolution is subject to certification by
the Borough's Chief Financial Officer that funds are or will be available for said
purpose.
