A GENERAL ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 76, SCHEDULE II OF
RICHMOND CODE REGARDING STREETS AND AREAS WHERE PARKING
IS PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES
WHEREAS, Chapters 74 and 76 of Richmond Code regulate parking within the City of
Richmond; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 76, Schedule II regulates one-way streets and alleys; and
WHEREAS; for the purpose of clarification, the best interest of the City of Richmond is
to amend Chapter 76, Schedule II with additions.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond
that current Chapter 76, Schedule II of the City Code be modified as follows:

(b) One-way alleys. Traffic on and along alleys within the central business district of the
city up to and including 12Ih Street shall be as follows.

(1) Traffic on and along north and south alleys north of Main Street shall be
northbound only.
(2) Traffic on and along north and south alleys south of Main Street shall be
southbound only, with the following exceptions:
(A) The alley between the service drive and South 7th Street and South
8th Street shall be a two-way alley;
(B) The alley between the service drive south of the Promenade and
South A Street located between South 9th Street and South 10th Street, shall
be a two-way alley.
(3) Traffic on and along east and west alleys north of Main Street shall be
westbound only, with the following exceptions:
(A) The alley between 71h Street and 81h Street shall be a two-way
alley.
(B) The alley between 11"' Street and 12"' Street shall be a two-way alley.
(C) The alley between 121h Street and 131h Street shall be a two-way
alley.
(4) Traffic on and along east and west alleys south of Main Street shall be
eastbound only, with the following exceptions:
(A) The alley between 51h Street and 61h Street shall be a two-way
alley service drive.
(B) The alley between 61h Street and 71h Street shall be a two-way
alley service drive.
(C) The alley immediately south of the Parking Garage between South
7th Street and South 8th Street shall be west -bound only. (`72 Code,
