HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 2018-16, Accepting Low, Responsive Responsible Bid For The Crow Creek Stream Stabilization Porject For The City RESOLUTION NO. 2018-16 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOW, RESPONSIVE RESPONSIBLE BID FOR THE CROW CREEK STREAM STABILIZATION PROJECT FOR THE CITY OF RIVERDALE, IOWA . WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Riverdale ("City") authorized its Engineer MSA Professional Services ("MSA") to prepare plans and specifications for bid for certain repairs to a stabilize an area of Crow Creek (the "Project") adjacent to a sewer main crossing of said Creek; and, WHEREAS; the City did receive and publicly open bids for the Crow Creek Project at 3:00 p.m. on March 20, 2018 at Riverdale City Hall with the following results: McClintock Trucking & Excavating $27,597.50 Miller Trucking & Excavating $28,960.00 Brandt Construction $31,000.00 Legacy Corporation $36,880.00 Engineer's estimate $27,000.00 ;and, WHEREAS, having reviewed the above bid documents for completeness, the City Engineer does recommend awarding the bid to the low responsive responsible bidder McClintock Trucking & Excavating, Colona, Illinois for their bid of$27,597.50. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERDALE, SCOTT COUNTY, IN THE STATE OF IOWA: Section 1. That said the Notice of Award to McClintock Trucking & Excavating for Riverdale Crow Creek Stabilization project, dated March 22, 2018, in the amount of$27,597.50 shall be made part of and is hereafter a part of this resolution. Section 2. That the bid from McClintock Trucking & Excavating, Colona, Illinois in the amount of$27,597.50 shall be accepted by the City Council of the City of Riverdale Section 3. That the Mayor shall sign and City Clerk attest the aforesaid Notice of Award and they shall sign and execute the contract for the Crow Creek project with McClintock Trucking & Excavating.
