AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
SIA FOUNDATION, INC.
WHEREAS, Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc., through its program SIA Foundation,
Inc., has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond through the Richmond Parks Department desires to
submit a grant application to obtain funds to assist with the expenses of
obtaining new equipment and storage materials for the "Just Us Kids
Outdoors" (J.U.K.O.) Program; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
The City of Richmond Parks Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant
application to SIA Foundation, Inc., to assist with the expenses of obtaining new
equipment and storage materials for the J.U.K.O. Program.
2. The City of Richmond Parks Department is authorized to accept said grant
funding in an amount up to Five Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($5,000.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to assist
with the expenses of obtaining new equipment and storage materials for the J.U.K.O.
Program.
Passed and adopted this 6th day of _October , 2008 by the Common Council of the
City of Richmond, Indiana.
