AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Five Hundred Sixty Thousand
Dollars ($560,000.00) from the Districtwide Stormwater Fund to be used for channel stabilization
in Larkwood – Jaywood – Sparrowwood Bank Stabilization (CRE-07) (11432) in Unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21976 with Two
Alpha Contracting LLC for channel stabilization.
WHEREAS, the bid for said channel stabilization is Four Hundred Seventy
Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-One and 50/100 Dollars ($470,621.50) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Eighty-Nine Thousand Three Hundred
Seventy-Eight and 50/100 Dollars ($89,378.50); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($560,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Districtwide Stormwater Fund for channel stabilization in Larkwood
– Jaywood – Sparrowwood Bank Stabilization (CRE-07) (11432) in Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri; and said contract shall be comprised of such other terms and conditions as are
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21976
with Two Alpha Contracting LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for channel stabilization in
Larkwood – Jaywood – Sparrowwood Bank Stabilization (CRE-07) (11432) in Unincorporated St.
Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 11th day of December, 2020.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 11, 2021.
