Motion by Nielsen second by Lindaman to approve the minutes of the August regular meeting. All ayes carried. Motion by Lindaman second by Van Heiden to approve the Treasurer’s Report for August. All ayes, carried. Motion by Van Hauen second by Buseman to approve the following bills for payment. All ayes, carried. Carmen Koch, Pool Manager, presented the end of the year pool report and her recommendations for next year. General discussion of women’s restroom shower stalls and the possibility of adding a roof to the bath house. At 7:55 p.m. the Mayor stated this was the time and place specified for taking action of the proposal to enter into a loan agreement, the City Clerk announced that no written objections had been placed on file. Whereupon, the Mayor called for any written or oral objections, and there being none, the Mayor declared the hearing closed at 8:00 p.m. Council Member Lindaman introduced and moved that adoption of Resolution 09-2009-01, a resolution authorizing and approving a Loan Agreement and providing for the issuance of a $125,000 General Obligation Corporate Purpose Note and providing for the levy of taxes to pay the same; seconded by Council Member Van Hauen. Roll call of votes. All Ayes, carried. At 8:01 p.m. the Mayor stated this was the time and place specified for taking action of the proposal to enter into a loan agreement, the City Clerk announced that no written objections had been placed on file. Whereupon, the Mayor called for any written or oral objections, and there being none, the Mayor declared the hearing closed at 8:05 p.m. Council Member Van Hauen introduced and moved that adoption of Resolution 09-2009-02 a resolution providing for the issuance of a Library Pledge Revenue Loan Agreement Anticipation Project Note; seconded by Council Member Van Heiden. Roll call of votes. All Ayes, carried. Motion by Buseman, second by Van Hauen to approve the insulation and siding of the sewer plant building and the remodeling of City Hall. Projects to be completed by Marvin Bierman. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Lindaman to approve the purchase of a utility bill drop box and carpeting for the new city hall. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Buseman to approve the FY 2009 Road Use Tax Report. All ayes, carried. Motion by Lindaman second by Buseman to approve building permit for Chad Gerbracht with the stipulation that the placement of the house follows the front, side yard and rear yard requirements. All ayes, carried. Motion by Van Hauen second by Buseman to approve building permits for Bruce Zimmerman, Jerome Reeves, and Gary Clemons. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Buseman to approve beer permit for Casey’s General Store. All ayes, carried. Motion to adjourn Van Heiden second Van Hauen. All ayes, carried. Wendy Lage, City Clerk
