A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDING THE
SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE, SECTION 3.05, REGARDING MAINTENANCE BONDS
Whereas, The City is considering amending Section 3.05 to require maintenance bonds
for a period of 3 years from the date of acceptance of the improvements, whereas the
current requirement is 10 years and;
Whereas the City Council of the City of Tiffin requests public comments regarding this
proposed amendment;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to set the
public hearing date for June 26, 2013 regarding amending Section 3.05 of the
Subdivision Ordinance to change the maintenance bond requirement from a period of
10 years from the date of acceptance of the improvements to a period of 3 years from
the date of acceptance of the improvements.
On the 12th day of June, 2013, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Bartels introduced Resolution No. 2013-117, A RESOLUTION
SETTING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDING THE SUBDIVISION
ORDINANCE, SECTION 3.05, REGARDING MAINTENANCE BONDS and made a
motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Ryan.
Ayes: Phillips, Upton, Bartels, Ryan
Nays: None
Absent: None
Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2013-117, A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR
PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDING THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE, SECTION
3.05, REGARDING MAINTENANCE BONDS to be adopted and signified his approval
of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 12th day of June, 2013.
