KMB/apm cc: TREASURER PURCHASING ENGINEER FILE No. 04-80 Dat¢ of Adoption Hatch ~, 2004 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH CME ASSOCIATES - WATERFRONT PARK PHASE II VOtEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering services with regard to the Carteret Waterfront Park-Phase II Project; and WHEREAS, the engineering firm of CME Associates, possess the requisite skill and expertise to provide said services; and VOtEREAS, CME Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said engineering services at a total cost not to exceed $83,000.00 in accordance with the hourly rates established in its engineering consulting contract with the Borough; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal; WItEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said purpose. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows: 1. The proposal from CME Associates for engineering services related to the Waterfront Park-Phase II Project at a total cost not to exceed $83,000.00 at the rate set forth in CME's existing contract with the Borough is hereby approved. 2. Annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal. 3. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract.
