You responded (forwarded herein for your reference) by telling me you need me to pay you $419.75 in order for you to convert these records from VHS to DVD. I did not ask you to do that. Please provide all the records I asked for according to the terms of my original request. In future correspondence, please refer to this public records request by the above referenced numbers. The Town may incur expenses for the production of documents. You are responsible for the costs of duplication, as allowed by Chapter 119, Florida Statutes, and you may also incur a special service charge for the labor needed to respond to this request. In order to produce some of the documents, the Town will require .75 hours of administrative support at $36.39 per hour, the labor cost of the personnel providing the service, per Fla. Stat. § 119.07(4)(d). In order to convert our VHS videos to DVD, the charge will be $34.98 for 12 videos for a total of $419.75. If the costs of producing these documents will exceed your deposit, the Town will provide you with an initial production of responsive records and an estimate for the production of any additional responsive records. If the costs of production are less than the deposit, the Town will provide you with the responsive records and a refund. (.75 hours @ 36.39 = 27.29) — (.25 hours @36.39 = 9.10) + (12 Videos @ $34.98 = 419.75) _ Deposit Due: $437.94 in cash or check. If you do not want to pay for the VHS tapes to get converted to DVD, you may view the videos here at the Town Hall. If you choose to do this, there will be a supervisory fee of $36.39 per hour, the labor cost of the personnel providing the service, per Fla. Stat. § 119.07(4)(d). We will require the supervisory fee to be paid immediately upon completion of viewing the videos. Your alternative fee would be as follows: (.75 hours @ 36.39 = 27.29) — (.25 hours @36.39 = 9.10) = Deposit Due: $18.19 in cash or check for the other documents. The supervisory fee can be paid upon completion of viewing the videos. The Town of Gulf Stream is currently working on a large number of incoming public records requests. Upon receipt of your deposit, the Town will use its very best efforts to further respond to your public records request in a reasonable amount of time.
