AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, ESTABLISHING THE NAME OF
AMEREN DRIVE FOR A PRIVATE STREET LOCATED OFF OF RETENTION ROAD AT THE
IkE SKELTON TRAINING SITE
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the City to provide a rational system of street names and
addresses, within the City; and
WHEREAS, private street names shall be established by the Council after review by the
Planning and Zoning Commission, as prescribed by Chapter 25 of the Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The name "Ameren Drive" is hereby established for the private street as
shown on Exhibit A.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
passage and approval.

Assignment of private street name of "Ameren Drive", located off of Retention Road in the
Missouri National Guard Ike Skelton Training Site.
Mr. Barron explained that he was contacted by the Missouri National Guard in terms of assigning a
private street name of Ameren Drive located off of Retention Road at the Ike Skelton Training Facility site.
He stated that the purpose of this request is to provide an address for a new chapel and recognize a
major donor for monetary donations supporting the construction of the chapel. Mr. Barron explained that
proposed street name assignments are heard by the Planning and Zoning Commission and approved by
the City Council.
Ms. Cotten moved and Mr. Nunn seconded to recommend approval of the proposed street name
assignment of Ameren Drive to the City Council. The motion passed 6-0 with the following votes:
Aye: Cotten, Deeken, George, Lester, Nunn, Yarnell
