HomeMy Public PortalAbout7/18/1991GREENCASTLE BOARD OF WORKS Regular Session July 18, 1991 The Greencastle Board of Works met in regular session on Thursday, July 18, 1991 at 4:00 p.m. in City Hall. On call of the roll the following members were shown to be present: Mayor Harmless, Mrs. Crawley. Mr. Lanie and Mr. Wilson were absent. Ron Smith was also present. The minutes of June 4 special session and June 20 regular session were distributed to the Board. Mrs. Crawley moved to approve the minutes as presented. This motion was seconded by Mayor Harmless and was carried. The sewage department claim register in the amount of $68,930.16 was presented and reviewed by the Board. Mrs. Crawley moved to approve the claims as presented. This motion was seconded by Mayor Harmless and was carried. The water department claim register in the amount of $64,502.51 was presented and reviewed by the Board. Claim #721 from Indiana Gas in the amount of $712.48 was pulled from the register for further explanation. Mrs. Crawley moved to approve all other claims as presented. This motion was seconded by Mayor Harmless and was carried. A three -year contract with Refuse Handling for trash hauling and curbside recycling in the amount $607,500.00 was presented to the Board and read in its entirely by Mayor Harmless. Mrs. Crawley moved to approve and sign the contract with the e spelling corrections made on pages 3 & 5. This motion was seconded by Mayor Harmless and was carried. The following claims for casement acquisition on the Greater Eastside Sewer Separation project, Grant No. CF89 -119, were presented to the Board: Norman Sims, parcel P -33 $510.40 Lois E. Spencer, parcel P -32 $510.40 Virginia Bingham, parcel P -32 $198.00 Mrs. Crawley moved to approve the above claims as presented. This motion was seconded by Mayor Harmless and was carried. The city claim registers in the amount of $217,778.56 were presented and reviewed by the Board. Mrs. Crawley moved to approve the claims as presented. This motion was seconded by Mayor Harmless and was carried. No 10th Street casement claims were presented. With No further business, Mrs. Crawley moved for adjournment.
