Leesburg-Based MTN Government Services Donates School
Supplies to Community Youth
Leesburg, VA (September 8, 2010) – On
Saturday, August 28, 2010, the MTN
Government Services (MTNGS) Team hosted
a “Back to School” community event to
deliver 250 book bags full of school supplies
to Leesburg and Loudoun County youth.
Held in the parking lot of MTNGS’ Leesburg
offices on Fort Evans Road, the event
featured moon bounces, face-painting,
music, and lots of fun. A special visit was
made by the Leesburg Fire Department,
which brought a fire truck for tours and
pictures. Families filed in quickly once the event began and smiles abounded all day as children
moved from one activity to the next with delicious treats.
The event lasted from 11 am to 3 pm, and children and
adults alike enjoyed cooling off with snow cones and cotton
candy. Participants were notified of the event through the
Leesburg Parks & Recreation ROCK program as well as by
fliers posted around local neighborhoods. Throughout the
day, MTNGS proudly donated three new laptop computers
to lucky raffle winners along with a slew of other raffled
school supplies. At the close of the event, MTNGS president
Jim Ramsey was thrilled to see his truck, which had been
filled with book bags at the start of the event, empty. At next year’s event, MTNGS has
ambitions to provide even more book bags and activities for Leesburg families.

The event kicked off the school year with a bang and marked the first of several MTNGS
community events to follow this year. In the works are a Christmas community support event
and Easter Egg hunt in Spring 2011. MTNGS prides itself on community involvement and giving
back and looks forward to its coming events and a bigger, more prolific back to school event
next August.
