HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 64-414RESOLUTION NO. 64 -414 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING TRAFFIC COMMISSION REQUEST TO STATE DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS FOR APPROVAL OF SIGNS AND RED CURB MARKING ON THE WEST SIDE OF ROSEMEAD BOULEVARD AT PENTLAND AVENUE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Temple City has received a recommendation from the Traffic Commission of the City of Temple City recommending the installation of 200 feet of "No Stopping at any Time" signs to be placed on the west side of Rosemead Boule- vard from Pentland northerly, and an additional 50 feet of red curb marking to be placed on the west side of Rosemead southerly of Pent- land in order to aid sight distance for the residents living on the west service road of Rosemead Boulevard entering the main roadway; and WHEREAS, the plan has been provided by the Traffic Engineer of the City of Temple City so indicating that this parking restric- tion will provide additional sight distance and still leave approxi- mately 250 feet of parking available to apartment parkers; and WHEREAS, such Resolution shall cease to be operative six months after by the City Council of written notice of the withdrawal of approval of the Department of Public Works; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in accordance with Section 22506 of the Vehicle Code, the City Council of the City of Temple City does hereby submit to the Department of Public Works Division of Highways said request for approval and issuance of permit for installation.
