KMB/cp cc: Treasurer Tax Assessor File No. 04-102 Date of Adoptio~ 2004 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CARTERET URBAN ENTERPRISE ZONE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION TO REQUEST FUNDING FOR LOWER WASHINGTON AVENUE PROPERTY ACQUISITION AND FA(~ADE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough") would like to revitalize designated streets in the Urban Enterp.rise Zone to enhance the safety and provide a pleasant shopping experience for shoppers that would provide business growth and create possible job opportunities; and WHEREAS, the Borough Mayor and Council has determined that it would be appropriate to utilize Urban Enterprise Zone ("UEZ") funds to pay for said revitalization; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, do hereby approve and endorse the Carteret Urban Enterprise Zone Development Corporation application to the New Jersey UEZ Authority be authorized for the use of $500.000.00 to be used for the Lower Washington Avenue Property Acquisition and Fagade Improvement Project.
