HomeMy Public PortalAboutMinutes - 9/9/2004 The Wellsburg City Council met in special session September 9, 2004 with Mayor Fox presiding and all councilmen present. Also present Gary Sindalar, City Engineer.
City Council discussed the information that was presented by Central Iowa Rural Water at Monday night’s meeting. City council also discussed the need to survey the community. The
survey is required for grant applications. Grant funds will be needed to help cover the costs of the water project. City clerk is to check with rural water to see what options are
available for completing the survey.
Problems with the water distribution system were discussed including the estimated cost of upgrading the system. These costs will be included in grant applications as part of the total
project.
A letter will be sent to Central Iowa Rural Water requesting a formal proposal for a bulk water connection.
