Minutes of Meeting held October 3, 2016
A special meeting was held on October 3, 2016 in Room 215 at the Town Hall for a discussion
concerning the use of recently microfilmed records of the Town’s cemeteries. A Notice of
Meeting was duly posted. The meeting commenced at 10:10 a.m. In attendance were Claire
Wright and John Palmer, a majority of the members of the Cemetery Commission, Linda
Connelly of the Hopkinton Public Library, Joshua Grossetti, Hopkinton Director of I.T., and
Paula Macdonald and Lindsay Eisan of King Information Systems, Inc. (“King”) Mrs. Wright
presided and Mr. Palmer kept the minutes.
The attendees engaged in an extensive discussion of the objectives and possible methodologies
for providing use by the public of the microfilmed records of persons interred in Town
cemeteries.
King agreed to provide the Town with options and related costs for placing the electronic data
into a usable form.
King presented to Ms. Wright several boxes of microfilm containing the Town’s cemetery
records which are to be turned over to the Town Clerk for safe retention.
The meeting adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
