ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE SOLID WASTE
CONTRACT WITH REPUBLIC WASTE SERVICES D/B/A ALLIED WASTE TO
EXTEND THE CONTRACT TO MAY 31, 2016.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor and City
Clerk to execute an amendment to the Solid Waste Contract agreement with Republic
Waste Services, the terms of such amendment to be substantially similar to the
attached Exhibit A.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.

EXTENSION OF AGREEMENT
WHEREAS,the City of Jefferson, Missouri, a municipal corporation, with offices at 320 East
McCarty Street, Jefferson City, Missouri, 65101, hereinafter designated "City," entered into
an Agreement with Allied Waste Services, 6545 Moreau River Access Road, Jefferson City,
Missouri, 65 10 1, hereinafter referred to as "Contractor."
WHEREAS, both parties wish to extend the agreement for an additional seven months
which will extend the current agreement, including all terms and conditions until May 31,
2016.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it agreed by the parties that the agreement is hereby extended,
with all the same terms and conditions, until May 31, 2016 as follows.
3. Term of Contract. This Contract shall be in effect for a period of sbi years,beginning
November 1,2009,and ending Oeo� bp31,201 May 31,2016,provided that neither party
terminates the Contract as provided herein.Either party may request renegotiation of this
Contract at any time. During any periods of renegotiation the Contract terms shall remain in
full force and effect as set out herein.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the parties have hereunto set their hands and seals this
