RESOLUTION 76-56 ADOPTED April 14, 1976
A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A GENERAL PLAN FOR INTERSECTION IMPROVE-
MENTS AT MARKET STREET-LOUDOUN STREET Abm MORVEN
PARK ROAD.
WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Highways and Transpor-
tation has prepared a preliminary plan for Project #007-253-103-
PE101, for intersection improvements at Market Street-Loudoun
Street and Morven Park Road, and submitted the plan for review
and approval by the Town; and
I~EREAS, the plan calls for reconstruction of the above
mentioned intersection, one-way traffic eastbound on Loudoun
Street and westbound on Market Street between the said inter-
section and Ayr Street, as well as correction of the sight dis-
tance problems existing on Loudoun and Market Streets between
Morven Park Road and Ayr Street:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town
of Leesburg as follows:
That the general plan described above for intersection
improvements at Market Street-Loudoun Street and Morven
Park Road are hereby approved with the understanding
the Town will be given an opportunity to review and
approve final plans after the Department's public hearing.
