RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
ASSUMPTION OF LIABILITY AMENDMENT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY AND THE
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City has heretofore entered
into an agreement with the County of Los Angeles to provide
certain services to the city, and
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City and the County of Los
Angeles have heretofore entered into an agreement respecting
assumption of liability by the County of Los Angeles for acts and
conduct of County personnel while performing functions for the
City of Temple City, and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has obtained insurance
coverage in the sum of One Million Dollars to cover any one
incident, pursuant to the terms and conditions of the policy, and
WHEREAS, the cost of said insurance will be charged in
the County rates to the various contract cities, and
WHEREAS, it is to the best interest of the City of Temple
City to enter into that certain "Assumption of Liability Amendment"
agreement, on file with the City Clerk, with the County of Los
Angeles to obtain the benefit of said insurance coverage,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council finds it to be to the best
interest of the City of Temple City to enter into that certain
"Assumption of Liability Amendment" agreement with the County of
Los Angeles, a copy of which agreement is on file with the City
Clerk, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute same for and on the behalf of the City of
Temple City.
