New Things
The Fraser Mustang is now really Fraser's Mustang!! I. Vicky closed on the property last
Thursday and work should begin on the property sometime this month. The first step will be to
confirm the existence of"nasties" in the soil around the tanks and then to remove the tanks. If
all goes well, the tanks should be removed and the building razed this summer. I'll keep you
updated as the project continues and if you want a presentation by the environmental consulting
firm who is cleaning the property, please let me know and I'll schedule them on an upcoming
agenda.
The Growth Coordination Kick-off is this Wednesday at 7:00 at Silver Creek. If you're
looking for a ride I'll be leaving Town Hall at 6:35 p.m. and have room for three. . .
C.B., Catherine, and 1 made a presentation to Great Outdoor Colorado and State Parks for
funding of the Fraser River Trail Phase II last week. The presentation went great and we
should hear from ODCD/State Parks fairly soon about project funding.
I've tentatively scheduled a new trustee/mayor orientation for next Wednesday, 4/10. We can
decide the best time to meet this week. I'll be at the Town Hall beginning at 6:30 this Thursday
if anyone wants additional background on any agenda topic prior to the meeting. . .
I've tried to keep Thursday's agenda light; other than regular items we'll be holding a "Post
Award Public Hearing" to collect public comment about the Wapiti Meadow Housing
Development (a requirement of the COSO grant) and we'll be hearing a presentation from the
Library Committee about their plans for the new Fraser Valley Library. Neither of these items
require Board action so no information accompanies this week's agenda.
Old Items
Jim Tucker's street sweeper wasn't quite ready to buy yet he's negotiating with the surplus
store about its condition and cost. If the sweeper gets to a point where Jim feels it's usable and
still a good deal, he'll move forward with the purchase.
That's all for now. See you Wednesday and Thursday!
