A RESOLUTION: TOWN OF LEESBURG IN LOUDOUN COUNTY, VIRGINIA PRESENTED October 13~ 1976 76-158 ADOPTED October 13~ 1976 REVISING THE LEESBURG PERSONNEL MANUAL BY INCORPO-- RATING A POSITION CLASSIFICATION FOR THE POSITION OF PARKING METER ATTENDANT. BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Leesburg, Virginia, as follows: That an additional position classification is hereby added to the Leesburg Personnel Manual for the position of Parking Meter Attendant to be shown on page 50-A to read as follows: Law Enforcement Group Grade 5 PARKING METER ATTENDANT GENERAL DUTIES: Identifies and tags vehicles in violation of overtime park- ing regulations and provides information to superior officers regarding other parking violations as necessary in accordance with Section 10-180 of the Town Code. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Maintains pleasant attitude with public while identifying and tagging as appropriate vehicles in violation of parking regulations. Has little discretion in performance of duties. Works under direction of Chief of Police or other superior officer. Position is part-time. REPRESENTATIVE EXAMPLES OF TASKS: (Illustration only) 1. Identifies and tags motor vehicles in violation of park- ing meter regulations as found in Article 6, Division 2, of the Town Code. 2. Obtains warrants from District Court as necessary to insure enforcement of above regulations. 3. Provides information regarding other parking violations to superior officers as required. 4. Performs related work as required. -2- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: High School diploma, age ~8 or over, and of good health and character. PASSED this 13th day of October , 1976.
