RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH
THE STATE OF ILLINOIS AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS (RIGHT-OF-WAY) FOR THE
INDIAN BOUNDARY ROAD STRUCTURE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, The Village of Plainfield has determined that there is a need to reconstruct the
structure carrying Indian Boundary Road over Springhole Creek and reconstruct the roadway
approaches on Indian Boundary Road.
WHEREAS, said project has been approved by the Illinois Department of Transportation to
receive Federal Surface Transportation Program Bridge(STP-BR) Funds for 80%of Right-of-Way costs
up to one hundred eighty two thousand four hundred dollars ($182,400.00); and
WHERAS, in order to obtain federal funding of local highway improvements, the Village of
Plainfield is required, under Illinois Department of Transportation policies, to enter into an agreement
for the funding of said local improvements; and
WHERAS, the attached intergovernmental agreement between the State of Illinois and the
Village of Plainfield defines the Local Agency participation in the improvement and the estimated local
share of the cost of the improvement, said agreement attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Board of Plainfield, Illinois, that the
attached intergovernmental agreement is hereby approved and that there is hereby appropriated the
sum of forty five thousand six hundred dollars ($45,600.00) for Right-of-Way work from the Village
Capital Improvement Fund; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this project is hereby designated as Section 17-00064-00-
BR; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement.
