HomeMy Public PortalAbout131.3 - Executive Offices - Chief Administrative Officer - City Operations Committee ProcedureAdministrative Offices Chief Administrative Officer Section 131.3 131.3 SUBJECT: CITY OPERATIONS COMMITTEE- ORGANIZATION & POLICY :1..OBJECTIVE: Provide an advisory committee composed of the Chief Administrative Officer and senior staff members for coordination and development of operational policy and guidance. :2..AUTHORITY: This procedure amended by City Council November 1, 1993. :3..DIRECTION: Chief Administrative Officer, as an appointed official, serves at the pleasure of and receives direction from the Mayor. Other members serve by virtue of their appointed position. :4..FUNCTIONS: A. ..Provides a committee for inter-departmental coordination and cooperation. B. ..May develop programs and proposals concerning City operations and submits recommendations for City Council action. C. ..May develop positions on legislation and regulations affecting operations of the City for City Council consideration. D. ..Serves in an advisory capacity to City Council on City programs and operations; completes such studies, investigations and research as may be required. E. ..Provides a coordination link between City of Orlando and other governmental units for purposes of exchanging information. :5 ..FORMS: None. :6..COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES: Not applicable. :7..REFERENCE: City Council Minutes, November 18, 1959, May 15, 1963, June 12, 1967, June 18, 1967.
