Old Items:
. Town Clean-Up: This Friday is the Winter Park/Fraser Valley Chamber of Commerce
sponsored clean-up day. Trash bags, gloves, and areas to be cleaned are available at the
Town I-Iall or the Chamber's offices, Lunch follows up at the Fraser Town Park.
The Fraser only clean-up day is scheduled for June 10th. We have three roll-olTs coming
from GranDisposal and can use the Town's dump truck to pick-up and take items to the
dump, See the enclosed flier for proposed dumpster locations and pick-up information.
. Mustang: I'm waiting to hear from Dana Insley about the tanks' contents and whether or
not he can pump them, At the same time, I'm reviewing the State regulations regarding
Underground Storage Tank remediation and assistance. Fun!Fun!Fun!
. Floodplain regulations: Fraser's application for floodplain insurance will be approved
and enacted this week, This means that property owners want flood insurance can now
get it -- the catch is that the delay between application and acceptance is about 30 days,
probably just long enough to make things really interesting along the banks. . .
. Icehreakers: Icebreakers will meet on Thursday, May 25th at the Crooked Creek. The
agenda will include a discussion on the sign code and a "getting to know you" session.
New Items:
. The Grand County Water and Sanitation District have invited Fraser's Town Board and
the Fraser Sanitation District to a meeting on Thursday, May 18th, date and time to be
announced. Sorry about the late notice!
,
. Jim Tucker is still in the hospital. Hopefully he'll be home later this week!

We will be contracting with Grand Disposall()f rnll-offs on both of these dates and will

Again, thanks! This program serves the citizens of Fraser and Grand County well, and I
look forward to a very successful clean-up.

Dear Ice-Breaker:
True to your word, I have received a very warm welcome to the community, Thank you!!!
Fraser is an exciting place to be. The town is poised for growth and the relationship between the
business and residential communities will go a long way towards ensuring that tomorrow's
growth will be well planned and beneficial for the community. Or, at least, the relationship has
the potential to play that role -- if we keep working together. As such, I'd like to invite you to
the next Ice-Breakers meeting!
We'll be meeting at the Crooked Creek on Thursday, May~ at 7:30 a.m. Dean Boyd has
kindly offered to buy breakfast and we'll have the opportunity to get to know each other and
discuss one or two specific issues that impact the business community, Ifwe haven't met yet, I
look forward to meeting you on the 24th. In the interim if there' s anything I can do for you, don't
hesitate to call.
Sincerely,
~L

MEMORANDUM
To: Mayor Jensen and the Town Board
From: Chuck Reid
Date: May 16, 1995
Subject: "Skid Steer Loader" purchase
Action Sought: Staff seeks Town Board approval for the purchase of one Gehl Skid Steer
Loader, for an amount not to exceed $17,680,
Background: The 1995 budget incl udes $14,000 for the purchase of one pick-up truck.
Issues: The Town does not have a Skid Steer in its current fleet. A Skid Steer is a
small "tractor" that can be used for grading trenching, snow removal,
sweeping, and other small equipment projects. Jim Tucker would prefer
that the Town purchase a Skid Steer (i.e. a "Bobcat") instead of the truck
and he believes that the Town's current truck fleet will be adequate for a
couple more years.
The purchase price includes the base unit, broom, and heater (see bid),
I
Benefits: Purchasing the Skid Steer wilt increase the Town's efficiency for snow
removal and sweeping onTown property and the Town's trail system, In
addition, the Skid Steer will enable staff to perform "tighter" trench and
grading work.
Costs: The bid for this piece of equipment is $3,680 over the amount budgeted
for the pick-up truck. However, the Town does have enough reserves to
cover this purchase.
