There being no further business before the meetine on motion of Mr. Brown, seconded by Mr. Beatty, the meeting Wee adjourned. Beatty, Broao, Simons, Stalely and Dr. .Leonard. Also present were Mr. .W, H. Webb, villagejlemeger, and Fred Baisden, Village Attorney. Upon motion.of fir. Simons,- seconded: by Mr. Beatty the;readipg of the .minutes of the 'previous meeting of October 22,1,951 was' ' dispensed with Until tha neat mgeting. Mr."Brownreported that at a meeting with Mr.: Henry regarding-,', . the hotel signs Mr. Henry had decided to plant as hedge behind liis curb line and move the signs back in line with:'the'hsdge. ..He said. that .Mr. 'Henry had agreed further that white "globes would be pleased on top of the signs to designate the. drivewa9entrances.and`that there would be no lights inside the pilIns, Mr. Simons moved that if the hedge was not put in andthe signs sowed bacrisith the.:proper globes installed by Decenber 15th, the Village`Msnager is sutherieed to remove same and also remove the electrical service from the village property. Upon second by Mr. Beatty; .the motion was inanimously passed. x Mr. Baisden said he had prepared a resolution commending Robert C. Graham, Jr, for his service to the village and read the resolution to the council. It was moved by Dr. Leonard, seconded by Mr. Simons, that the resolution be passed and unaniecusly voted. NOVEMBER 23. 1951 t Discussion of the appointment of a Village Judge was brought up by Mr. Brown. Mr. Baisden said that he didn't think the neces— sity was,urgent and that a councilman could act.as judge. Upon the recommendation of the Village Manager Mr. Brown moved that. Mr. T. J. Lamle be appointed to setts as the Associate Judge of Bal Harbour ‘ The motion was seconded by Mr. Beatty, and unaimously voted. Mr. Webb said that he bad applications for renewal of U—Drive— It permits for FincheirMotor Sales for the Sea View and Emerald Isle Hotels and Morse Auto Rentals, Inc. for operation at the Kenil— worth.. UponMotion of Mr. Brown, seconded by Dr. Leonard, the applications were accepted. Applications for renewals of Taxi permits were considered for Pincher Motor Sales and Gunnar W. Lind, Mr. Webb said that he wished to remind the'connoil that Fineber.Motor SaleaWere operating unmetered cabs. It was move& by Mr, BrOwn, secOnded'by Dr: Leonard, .and unanimously-votedthat these applications be approved with the provision that if there were any complaints against - tion of these umnetered cabs the village manger was authorized to 4: make them install meters in the cabs. Mr. Brown said that he thought that the village should"OWnthe. car now owned and driven byMr. Webb for his work around the village. After discussion it was moved by Mr. Brown, seconded by Mr. lideatty, and unanimously voted that the village manager would obtain plrilt appraisals on• the Willys Jeep Station Wagon as of December 14 1951 to determine the purchase price which -will be set up in the 1953 budget.
