Home My Public Portal About3041-1975- APPROPRIATE THE SUM 32200 FROM THE GENERAL FUNDORDINANCE NO. 3041-1975 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF THIRTY TWO THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($32,200.00) FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY BUDGET "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" (2-22-221a) ELECTRIC CURRENT - STREET LIGHTS. WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1975, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period, there is hereby appro- priated from the General Fund the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist: AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" (2-22-221a) ELECTRIC CURRENT- $32,200.00 $32,200.00 STREET LIGHTS SECTION 3. Councilman Merchanthouse presided with the following members present: Messrs. Brown , ornett Elstro Geier Hilton Marino Mills Williams Absent: None , , The following business was had to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of November 20 and November 28 197.5. Said notices stated that a public hear nag would- a Meld on theist day of December, 1975 , by the Common Council to consider additional—appropria- t ons as provided for in Ordinance No. 3041-1975 , within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication andposting of notices were examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Geier moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be received antlered filed, seconded by Councilman Elstro and on voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 3041-1975 Councilman Brown moved for engrossment of Ordinance No. 3041-1975, seconded by Councilman Elstro and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. Councilman Hilton moved to suspend the rules and read on third reading by title only Ordinance No. 3041-1975, seconded by Councilman Brown and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
