HomeMy Public PortalAbout018-2014 - Grant - Reid Hospital Fountation - Community Bicycle Master PlanORDINANCE NO. 18-2014 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE REID HOSPITAL FOUNDATION WHEREAS, In accordance with Indiana Code (IC) 36-1-4-10, a municipality may execute any documents necessary to receive money from the state or federal government or any other source, and said documents are prepared and executed by the City executive administration, provided that the Common Council of the City of Richmond as the legislative body of the City approves an ordinance for the appropriation of any monies received in accordance with IC 36-4-6-18; and WHEREAS, The Reid Hospital Foundation has grant funding available through its "Community Benefit Grant" program; and WHEREAS, The City of Richmond Department of Metropolitan Development has submitted or will submit a grant application to obtain funds for the Community -Wide Pedestrian and Bicycle Mastcr Plan; and WHEREAS, No local match is required. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: The City of Richmond Department of Metropolitan Development has submitted or will submit, as authorized by IC 36-1-4-10, a grant application to the Reid Hospital Foundation. 2. The City of Richmond Department of Metropolitan Development is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Five Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($5,000.00). 3. Said funds, if awarded, shall be appropriated to fund the Community -Wide Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan.
