WHEREAS, the City of Temple City's population includes persons
65 years of age and over; and
WHEREAS, this represents a substantial percentage of the City's
total population, and
WHEREAS, the Senior Citizens have made, and are still making,
invaluable contributions to the community's well -being in Los
Angeles County;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Temple City
does proclaim the month of May, 1965 as SENIOR CITIZENS MONTH,
and call the attention of all its residents to the events being
planned to honor these Senior Citizens; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this resolution be
forwarded to the County of Los Angeles Department of Senior Citizens
Affairs.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was adopted by
the Council of the City of Temple City at its meeting of May 4, 1965.
