Town Clean-Up: The Winter Park/Fraser Valley Chamber of Commerce clean-up day that was held on May 19th was successful and netted a full roll-ofT. GranDisposal graciously picked-up the cost of tires 'that were dropped-ofT at the site (see attached). The Fraser-only clean-up day is Saturday from 8:00 until noon. See the accompanying flier that was posted and distributed throughout town. " Mustang: There is not enough fluid in the two northern tanks to entice someone to pump them for free -- so review of Underground Storage Tank remediation and assistance regulation continues. . Icebreakers: We had a very small turnout for the Icebreakers meeting BUT we did have an informative discussion. The group will be focusing on three issues: downtown design standards; the upper Fraser Valley growth planning effort; and the sign code (banners). . Pending ordinances: Manufactured Housing changes and definitions Water tap fees , , , ., New Items: . Mountain COn~rorl intends to hold a huge sale this fall that would include advertisement by a huge bailoon (or small blimp) which is not allowed under the sign code. It would be beneficial for us to talk about the pros and cons of such advertising (see attached). . On May 22nd the Colorado Water Conservation Board heard a presentation from Commissioner Dick Thompson about the sewer plant consolidation and minimum stream flows. While no decisions were made, the Board was receptive to the plan, -.' ,~ e e . Wally Alves came by to see what it will take to burn the old Lightning Liquors building and how he can assist the town in this effort. The changeover at East Grand Pire may slow this process down somewhat -- I'll keep you updated on this project. . On June 15th at 7:00 p.m. Fraser is sponsoring a meeting with the Division of Housing and other jurisdictions from Grand County to discuss housing in the upper Fraser Valley. The evening's conversation should be interesting -- hope you can make it!!! . Construction of Wapiti Drive could be nearing as the resubdivision improvement agreement with the Clayton's is now in its "final" draft. Construction can begin once everyone approves the agreement and construction plans are finalized. . The Town was recently approached by Alicia Johnson who's interested in initiating a volunteer-based tree planting program along the US 40 bikepath. If the Town is interested, Alicia's gung-ho!!! A list of current outstanding land use violations is attached for your information. ýÿ
