REJECTING BIDS AND REAUTHORIZING RECEIPT OF BIDS FOR
SCATTERED SITE SIDEWALK REHABILITATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has previously solicited bids for the
Scattered Site Sidewalk Rehabilitation Project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough received only one bid for said project as follows,
Diamond Construction, P.O. Box 456, Dunellen, New Jersey 08812 in the amount
of $180.00/piece; and
WHEREAS, said bid substantially exceeded the available funding for said
project.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
1. That the above referenced bid is hereby rejected.-
2. That the appropriate Borough officials are hereby
authorized to re-bid for the Scattered Site Sidewalk
Rehabilitation Project.
3. That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the
Borough's Purchasing Department and the Borough
Engineer.
Adopted this 22nd day of April, 2004 and
certified as a tree copy of the original on
